29 It was the tenth year [^Csince King Jehoiachin’s exile (1:2)], in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month [^CJanuary 7, 587 bc]. The ·Lord spoke his word [^Lword of the Lord came] to me, saying: ² “·Human [^TSon of man; 2:1], ·look [^Lset your face] toward the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and all Egypt.
